Gram Shilpi Mela - 2022, The Attractive Handicrafts Fair at Belagavi
Laghu Udyog Bharati will organize Gram Shilpi Mela 2022 where handicrafts and village and home industry products will be showcased in Belagavi.
On 2nd November a Bhumi Pujan was performed for the attractive Handicrafts fair, Gram Shilpi Mela.
There will be an exhibition and sale of over 200 craftspeople’s or groups’ creations from eight States. According to Sachin Sabnis, president of the Laghu Udyog Bharati State unit, priority is being given to women’s groups and small craftsmen.
Woodwork, handloom, native medicines, stone and metal sculptures, cow-based products, Khadi, glass, mud and leather, and traditional musical instruments will all be on sale.
Some craftsmen offer on-the-spot demonstrations of their trade. Experts will discuss the potential for rural artisans and village industry,” said Gurudatt Kulkarni, a member of the organizing committee of Gram Shilpi Mela.
Halappa Achar, minister of mines and geology, will officially launch the three-day event of Gram Shilpi Mela on the grounds of Sardar School on Friday. There will be representatives from the RSS leader Arvind Rao Deshpande, Minister for Textiles and Handlooms Shankar Patil Munenakoppa, Ram Bhandare Chairman of the Belgaum Foundry Cluster, Shanta Manu of the Handicrafts Development Commission, and MPs and MLAs among others.
