Railways Introduces Summer Special Trains between Rajasthan and Karnataka
In a bid to accommodate the surge in summer holiday travelers, Indian Railways has announced the operation of two Summer Special Trains from Karnataka to Rajasthan via Belagavi. The trains aim to provide convenient travel options for passengers heading towards the vibrant landscapes of Rajasthan.
The first of 2 Summer Special Trains, numbered 06281/82, will connect Mysuru Junction to Ajmer and back. With a total of six trips on each route, the train will commence its journey from Mysuru Junction on Saturdays at 10:00 AM, reaching Ajmer on Mondays at 04:00 AM. On its return journey, the train will depart from Ajmer on Tuesdays, arriving back at Mysuru Junction on Thursdays at 4:40 PM. Notably, the train will make a stop at Belagavi, offering travelers a convenient route. The coach composition includes 12 Sleeper coaches, 2 AC Two Tier coaches, 3 AC Three Tier coaches, 1 General Coach, and 2 SLRs.
The second of 2 Summer Special Trains, numbered 04809/10, will operate between Bhagat Ki Kothi (Jodhpur) and SMVT Bengaluru, running from April 21, 2024, to April 29, 2024, totaling four trips. This train will consist of 2 Two Tier AC coaches, 4 AC 3 Tier coaches, 12 Sleeper coaches, 2 General coaches, and 2 SLRs. Like its counterpart, this train will also make a halt at Belagavi during its journey, catering to the travel needs of passengers.
It’s important to note that linens will not be provided in the AC coaches of both trains. Passengers can book tickets through PRS Counters and the IRCTC website.
The special trains are expected to alleviate the pressure of the summer holiday rush, offering a comfortable and hassle-free travel experience for passengers commuting between Karnataka and Rajasthan.
