Amidst these operational figures, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone virtually on March 10 for the New International Level Terminal Building for Belagavi Airport. This ambitious project, valued at over Rs 220 crores, signifies a significant step towards enhancing the airport’s infrastructure and services.
The future expansion plans, including the construction of the new terminal building, aim to bolster the airport’s capacity and amenities to accommodate the growing demand for air travel in the region. Despite the recent slight decline in passenger traffic, the development projects signal a promising trajectory for Belagavi Airport’s Passenger Load Factor (PLF) in the foreseeable future.
