SWR Takes Proactive Steps to Address Summer Travel Surge by extending BGM BDCR Special and Extra Sleeper Coaches
In response to the surge in passenger numbers during the summer season, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the extension of Train No. 07335/07336 Belagavi-Bhadrachalam Road-Belagavi special (BGM BDCR Special) up to July 31, 2024 – August 1, 2024. The extension comes without any alterations in timings, route, or coach composition, offering commuters continued convenience.
Moreover, to accommodate the increased influx of travelers, SWR has decided to attach one additional sleeper class coach to six trains on specific dates. These additional coaches aim to alleviate the strain on existing capacities and enhance passenger comfort during peak travel times.
The following trains will witness the addition of an extra sleeper class coach on the designated dates:
- Train No. 17302 Belagavi-Mysuru Express: April 24 to May 1
- Train No. 06233 Mysuru-Chamarajanagar Passenger: April 25 to May 2
- Train No. 06234 Chamarajanagar-Mysuru Passenger: April 25 to May 2
- Train No. 17307 Mysuru-Bagalkot Basava Express: April 25 to May 2
- Train No. 17308 Bagalkot-Mysuru Basava Express: April 26 to May 3
- Train No. 17301 Mysuru-Belagavi Express: April 27 to May 4
Passengers traveling on these routes can expect enhanced capacity and reduced crowding during their journeys. The addition of sleeper class coaches reflects SWR’s commitment to ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free travel experience for all passengers, particularly during peak seasons and BGM BDCR Special’s Extension
As the summer heat sets in and travel demands escalate, SWR remains dedicated to meeting the needs of its passengers by implementing strategic measures to enhance service efficiency and passenger satisfaction such as extension of BGM BDCR Special
