For Belagavi’s Development New Belagavi Core Development Committee submitted a document cum letter of demands to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai through Member of Legislative Assembly Abhay Patil.
After the Recent announcement by CM Basavaraj Bommai of 6 Hitech Cities and the exclusion of Belagavi’s name in six proposed cities, MLA Abhay Patil & Belgaum Chamber of Commerce & Industries called an emergency meeting to discuss the potential points in regards to Belagavi’s Development. Various Bodies and associations of Belagavi were furious with the government for mistreating the district when it came to establishing factories and meeting other infrastructural requirements.
Today, a discussion about the needs of Belgaumites and ideas for the development of Belagavi took place with the respected members of the Belgaum Chamber of Commerce, Laghu Udyog Bharati, Small Scale Industry, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Bar Association, and Belagavi Core Development Group. These suggestions will be presented at the upcoming meeting with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday.
Along with other Bodies,
Demands and requirements by Belagavi Core Development Group of various departments such as Railways, Aviation, IT & Industries along with Hospital/Healthcare were submitted to MLA Abhay Patil.

The topic of including Belagavi in the Karnataka development projects—which frequently omit Belagavi—was brought up in the productive meeting.
A new industrial estate of about 5000 acres was demanded by the Chamber.

↑↑ Shri Abhay Patil humbly accepted our Letter and said he’ll take along and submit it to CM Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday.
Abhay Patil also shared a positive note stating, he has shown land to the respective Health departments of Karnataka & Central Govt for ESI (Employees State Insurance) Hospital.
He said During this winter session ESI for Belagavi will be sanctioned.
