BVG India’s taking over cleanliness process was Inaugurated by MLA Abhay Patil
BVG India Limited has taken the initiative to manage solid waste in the city and has recently secured a contract with the City Corporation of Belagavi. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Belagavi South MLA Abhay Patil earlier today. “Swachh Belagavi Abhiyan” is a step towards a cleaner and greener Belagavi.

The process of solid waste management involves several important steps that are aimed at reducing waste and making the city a cleaner and more livable place which is the main practice of BVG India. The first step is source reduction. This involves reducing the amount of waste generated in the first place. This can be achieved through measures such as reducing packaging, using reusable items instead of disposable ones, and promoting the use of environmentally friendly products.
The next step is recycling. Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new products. This helps to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills, as well as conserving resources and reducing the environmental impact of waste. Belagavi through BVG India company has a well-established recycling program that encourages residents to recycle as much as possible.
Once the waste has been reduced and recycled, it needs to be stored and collected. Storage is an important part of the process, as it helps to prevent the spread of waste and odors. The collection is also important, as it ensures that the waste is transported to the appropriate processing facility. The City Corporation of Belagavi through BVG India has a well-organized system for collecting and transporting the waste, which helps to ensure that it is disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
Once the waste has been collected, it is transported to a processing facility, where it is sorted and processed. The aim of processing is to separate recyclable materials from non-recyclable waste so that they can be reused or disposed of in an appropriate manner. Processing facilities use a variety of methods, such as mechanical separation, manual sorting, and composting, to achieve this goal.
Finally, the waste is disposed of. Disposal is the final step in the process of solid waste management. The waste is either disposed of in a landfill or incinerated, depending on the type of waste and local regulations. Landfills are designed to contain and isolate waste from the environment, while incineration is used to convert waste into ash and gases.
The “Swachh Belagavi Abhiyan” is an important step towards a cleaner and greener city. The process of solid waste management is a complex one, but it is essential to ensure that waste is managed in an environmentally responsible manner. By reducing, recycling, storing, collecting, transporting, processing, and disposing of waste, Belagavi can become a cleaner, greener, and more livable city. Residents of Belagavi can play a crucial role in this process by reducing the amount of waste they generate, recycling as much as possible, and being mindful of the waste they produce.
