The move by the South Central and South Eastern Railways to entrust Belagavi with the maintenance of their rakes showcases the love and trust that these zones have for the city. Belagavi has been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure that make it an ideal location for carrying out railway maintenance works. The city has been making steady progress in the railway sector, and it is commendable to see that it is getting the recognition it deserves.
It is unfortunate to see that the South Western Railways have not yet taken advantage of the facilities available in Belagavi. Despite being a major railway zone, no SWR trains, apart from the Belagavi Secunderabad Express, have been handed over to the Belagavi coaching depot for maintenance. This lack of interest from the SWR is quite visible, and it is hoped that this will change in the near future.
The short-termination and origination of the Haripriya Express at Belagavi is a small yet significant step towards the progress of the maintenance sector of the railway sector in the city. It is an opportunity for the city to showcase its capabilities and prove its worth as a hub for railway maintenance works. The facilities available at the Belagavi coaching depot have been designed to meet the needs of modern trains, and it is expected that the Haripriya Express will undergo a thorough and efficient maintenance process during its stay in the city.
Belagavi, (BGM of South Western Railways) a city located in the Indian state of Karnataka, is becoming a hub for railway maintenance and repair works. The city has recently been entrusted with the maintenance of rakes owned by the South Central Railways and South Eastern Railways, also with the Belagavi Secunderabad Express train, which is operated by the South Western Railways.
The love and trust shown by the South Central and South Eastern Railways towards Belagavi is a testament to the city’s progress in the railway sector. The short-termination and origination of the Haripriya Express at Belagavi is a step in the right direction, and it is hoped that this will lead to more trains being handed over to the Belagavi coaching depot for maintenance in the future. The city has the potential to become a major hub for railway maintenance works, and it is time for the South Western Railways to take notice and join the bandwagon.
