SWR announces Special Train to clear extra rush of passengers during festivals

The South Western Railway (SWR) has announced a special train to clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming festival season. The Railway Board has approved the running of the (Vasco-Nizamuddin-Vasco Express Special) T.No:07307/07308 VSG-NZM-VSG Express Special(TOD) train, which will run between Vasco and Hazrat Nizamuddin, to cater to the increased demand for travel between these cities.

The rush between Goa, Belagavi, and Delhi has been increasing in recent times, with many passengers facing long waiting lists for trains between these cities. To alleviate this pressure and provide a comfortable travel experience for passengers, the SWR has decided to run this special train.

The T.No:07307/07308 VSG-NZM-VSG Express Special(TOD) train will have a composition of 2-SLR/D, 1-ACCW, 1-ACCN, 08-GSCN, and 7-GS coaches, totaling 19 coaches in all.

AC II Tier: 1, AC III Tier: 1, Sleeper: 08, General: 07 & SLR: 02.

The primary maintenance of the train will be carried out at Vasco, while the secondary maintenance will take place at Hazrat Nizamuddin.

The train Vasco-Nizamuddin-Vasco Express Special will operate on a single trip basis, with T.No:07307 VSG-NZM running on JCO 11.03.2023(Sat) and T.No:07308 NZM-VSG running on JCO 14.03.2023(Tue). It is expected that this special train will be able to clear the extra rush of passengers during the festival season, ensuring that everyone can travel comfortably and safely.

However, passengers traveling in the AC coaches of this special train are advised that no linen, including bedsheets, blankets, and pillows, will be provided. Therefore, passengers are advised to carry their own linen if they wish to use these facilities during their journey.
