MP Iranna Kadadi’s Advocacy Results show Dharwad Mysuru Express extended till Belagavi

In a much-anticipated development, the Ministry of Railways has given the green light to extend the Dharwad-Mysuru Express train to Belagavi (Dharwad Mysuru Express extended till Belagavi), bringing joy to countless train passengers in Belagavi district. Rajya Sabha MP Iranna Kadadi announced this exciting news in a press statement on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in the region’s railway connectivity.

According to MP Iranna Kadadi, the newly extended train, now bearing the number 17302, is scheduled to embark from Belagavi at 07:45 pm, with its destination being Mysuru, where it will arrive at 07:10 am the following day. The return journey, designated as train number 17301, will depart from Mysuru at 10:30 pm and reach Belagavi at 10:45 am the next morning. This new Belagavi-Mysore Express train (Dharwad Mysuru Express extended till Belagavi) is expected to commence operations in the last week of this month i.e on 26th September 2023, greatly enhancing the transportation options for residents and travelers in the region.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, MP Iranna Kadadi extended his thanks to Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav and the dedicated officials of the Railway Department. Their collaborative efforts have made the long-cherished dream of extending this train service to Belagavi a reality.

Previously, the South Western Railways had introduced the Belagavi-Dharwad-Mysuru Link Express, an attempt to connect Belagavi to Mysore. However, due to its odd timings and its status as a link express, it failed to garner sufficient patronage and was eventually canceled due to low ridership. Now, thanks to the relentless efforts of Shri Iranna Kadadi Ji, the same train has been extended to include Belagavi, promising a more convenient and accessible rail connection for the region’s residents and visitors alike.

This significant railway extension is expected to bring about positive changes in the connectivity and convenience of train travel for the people of Belagavi and neighboring areas.
