Persistence Pays Off as MP Iranna Kadadi and Belagavi Core Development Group Facilitate Return of Essential Air Connectivity of Belagavi Delhi new flight.
In a triumphant victory for the people of Belagavi, the much-anticipated restoration of flight services between Belagavi and major cities is set to become a reality. Efforts spearheaded by Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Iranna Kadadi and the Belagavi Core Development Group have yielded remarkable results, as two prominent airlines, Indigo, and Star Air, have committed to resuming flight operations on the Delhi-Belagavi (Belagavi Delhi New Flight) and Pune-Belagavi routes.

The Belagavi district had been grappling with a void in air connectivity after SpiceJet ceased operations at Belagavi Airport in December 2022 due to aircraft unavailability and financial instability. Despite initial assurances from the airline, the flight services failed to resume, causing significant inconvenience to travelers.
However, relentless efforts by MP Iranna Kadadi, alongside the determined Belagavi Core Development Group and local delegates, have finally borne fruit. Indigo Airlines, a renowned name in the aviation industry, will be initiating daily flights between Delhi and Belagavi from October 1st (Belagavi Delhi New Flight). Furthermore, Star Air is set to launch daily flight services between Pune and Belagavi, commencing on October 29.

Acknowledging the ardent persistence of the MP, the Belagavi Core Development Group, and other stakeholders, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Iranna Kadadi stated, “The long-standing demand of the people of the district will be fulfilled. As a result of persistent efforts, Indigo Airlines has agreed to start daily flights between Delhi and Belagavi from October 1 & From October 29, Star Air will start daily flight service between Pune and Belagavi. From October 31, Indigo Airlines will start 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) flights between Pune and Belagavi. On behalf of the people of the district, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Indigo and Star Air for starting flight services from Belagavi to Delhi and Pune.”
