Annasaheb S. Jolle and Shashikala Jolle Meet Union Minister Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw to Address Pending Connectivity Projects and Stoppage Requests.
In a significant development for the Karada-Nippani-Belagavi railway line and other crucial connectivity projects, Union Minister Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, met with Members of Parliament, Annasaheb S. Jolle and MLA Shashikala Jolle, to discuss and resolve the long-standing issues plaguing the region’s railway network. The meeting held in New Delhi saw a constructive dialogue to expedite the pending projects and cater to stoppage requests along key express train routes.
The primary focus of the meeting was to address the persistent delay in the construction of the Karada-Nippani-Belagavi railway line, which has been a subject of concern for the residents of the region for quite some time. The railway line, once completed, promises to enhance connectivity between Karnataka and Maharashtra and open new opportunities for trade and travel.

During the discussion with Union Minister Railways, the representatives also put forth the demand to introduce request stops for the Hubli-Dadar Express at Ugar, the Sharavathi Express, the Puducherry Express at Shedbal, and the Ajmer Express and Haripriya Express at Kudachi and Raibag Chikodi. These stoppage requests are aimed at providing improved accessibility and convenience to the local populace and further integrating the region into the national railway network.
Speaking after the meeting, Annasaheb S. Jolle expressed his gratitude to the Union Minister for lending a patient ear to their concerns and assured that the issues would now be addressed on a priority basis. Shashikala Jolle also lauded the Minister’s commitment to enhancing rail infrastructure in the region and said that the proposed developments would have a significant positive impact on the lives of people in the area.
In response, Union Minister Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw assured the MP & MLAs that the Ministry of Railways is dedicated to the development of railway infrastructure across the country and emphasized that the Karada-Nippani-Belagavi railway line and other pending projects in the region will be reviewed and executed expeditiously.
The meeting marked a turning point for the railway connectivity in the Karnataka-Maharashtra region as it brought together the elected representatives and the Ministry of Railways to jointly address the long-pending issues. The locals are now optimistic that their aspirations for better connectivity and accessibility will soon turn into reality, fostering economic growth and social development in the region.
