Suldhal Ghataprabha passes CRS Certification 30.67KM section now Doubled | Early Achievement

Londa Belagavi Miraj Section Doubling Brings Joy to Locals as Suldhal Ghataprabha Section is Now Doubled and Opened for Rail Traffic.

The Commissioner of Railway Safety, Southern Circle, Shri A.K. Rai, conducted a successful statutory inspection of the newly doubled line between the Suldhal Ghataprabha section (30.67 KM) of Londa Belagavi Miraj section under the UBL Division of South Western Railways. The speed trial and statutory Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) inspection took place on the 9th and 10th of February and resulted in the approval of the track fit for rail traffic and Speed trial at 120 KMPH was successfully carried out on the newly laid double line between Suldhal Ghataprabha (30 km) as part of Doubling between Londa – Belagavi Miraj section.

The double line between Ghataprabha Suldhal has been a long-awaited development for the local villagers and residents, who gathered near Parkanhatti to witness the fast beast. The WDP-4B of UBL Shed hauled the 5 coaches CRS Special, and the speed trial was a success, allowing the new double line to be opened for rail traffic.

The Londa Belagavi Miraj section doubling project has been underway for some time, and the completion of the Suldhal Ghataprabha section marks a significant milestone in the project. The section between Gunji to Belagavi, Belagavi to Suldhal Ghataprabha, and Ghataprabha Chikodi Road to Kudachi is now doubled, making rail travel faster and more efficient for passengers.

However, the section between Londa to Gunji and Kudachi to Miraj remains a challenge, with the main hurdles being the British Era old ROB and the construction of a new Krishna River bridge, respectively. Despite these challenges, the railway authorities are working hard to ensure that these sections are doubled as soon as possible, to provide the local community with the benefits of a doubled railway line.

The doubling of the Londa Belagavi Miraj section will bring many benefits to the local community, including improved rail connectivity, increased frequency of trains, and reduced travel time. This will help to boost the local economy and make it easier for people to travel for work, education, and leisure.
