MLA Dr. Divya Rane Completes Long-Stalled Pali Jamblis Temba Road, Boosting Connectivity and Tourism Opportunities
In a significant development, the long-delayed construction of Pali Jamblis Temba Road, led by MLA Dr. Divya Rane, has reached completion after several years. The timely completion of the project, just before the arrival of the monsoon season, is set to revolutionize travel and tourism between Valpoi and Belgaum, with additional benefits for passengers commuting through Ponda. With an expenditure of 4 crores, the newly paved road covering the Goa-Valpoi-Belgaum stretch is poised to transform the region’s transportation infrastructure.
The picturesque Sural village, nestled within the Thane Dongurli Panchayat area of Parye Constituency, boasts breathtaking natural beauty. To unlock the full potential of this scenic location, it was imperative to establish a well-constructed road leading to Pali Jambli. The completion of this road has significantly reduced the distance, trimming it by approximately 35 km. Consequently, the journey from Belgaum to Valpoi can now be completed in a mere 70 km. Additionally, the road extends from Valpoi to Jambli Temb and further connects to Belgaum through Chorla, Kankumbi, and Jamboti, presenting a new opportunity for tourists arriving via the Chorla Ghat.
The path taken by the Pali Jamblis Temba Road through the Mhadai Sanctuary necessitated careful consideration due to the challenging topography, characterized by substantial inclines and declines. As a result, a two-kilometer section of the road has been meticulously paved with durable pavers. While this measure ensures a smooth travel experience for passenger vehicles and light motor vehicles (LMVs), concerns have arisen regarding potential damage caused by heavy traffic. In order to preserve the road’s integrity, heavy goods traffic has been restricted from using this route, with only passengers and LMV vehicles permitted to commute along it.
The completion of Pali Jamblis Temba Road marks a major milestone in enhancing connectivity, benefiting not only local residents but also tourists and businesses in the region. The shortened travel distance between Valpoi and Belagavi will not only save time and fuel but also promote economic growth and development. This upgraded road network is expected to attract a surge of tourists, captivated by the awe-inspiring natural beauty and cultural attractions dotting the region. Furthermore, the opening of this route will undoubtedly create new opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive.

MLA Dr. Divya Rane, the driving force behind the completion of this project, expressed her satisfaction and gratitude to all the individuals and entities involved in its successful execution. Recognizing the road’s potential to drive tourism and foster regional development, she emphasized the importance of sustainable infrastructure and responsible travel practices to ensure the preservation of the Mhadai Sanctuary’s ecological balance.
The work of installing pavers on the Pali Jamblis Temba Road has finally been completed. Therefore, the road from Pali to Jambli has been opened for traffic. Now soon this road will be formally inaugurated by MLA Dr. Divya Rane. Local panch member Suresh Aykar as well as Thane Sarpanch and MLA Dr. Divya Rane had a special effort for this Pali Jamblis Temba Road. Efforts are being made to develop Sural Village in terms of tourism. At the same time, the tourists going to Pali waterfall, Maloli, and Tambadisurl will now have better connectivity due to this road. As this road falls in the forest area, hot mix asphalting was not possible, so pavers have been installed.
“This Pali Jamblis Temba Road will not only enhance connectivity but also prove to be a boon for nature tourism in the region. The picturesque waterfall at Surla is an absolute delight, and tourists will now have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of nature during the monsoon season. Dr. Divya Rane, MLA of Parye, emphasized the importance of fulfilling promises made to the people and highlighted the gradual progress being made. Under her dedicated efforts, even her own village of Parye has experienced significant development. Suresh Ikar, a local Panch member, expressed immense satisfaction on behalf of the villagers in the area, acknowledging the long-awaited completion of the Pali Jambli Temb road as a great achievement. The road’s completion brings a renewed sense of joy and opportunity to the entire community.”

The completion of Pali Jamblis Temba Road serves as a testament to the commitment and dedication of MLA Dr. Divya Rane and her vision for fostering progress and connectivity in the region. With enhanced accessibility and renewed tourism prospects, the Valpoi-Belagavi route is set to emerge as a vibrant corridor, linking diverse communities and inviting exploration of the region’s abundant natural wonders.
