New Belagavi Mysuru Train: Connection & Explanation
New Belagavi Mysuru Train: Indian Railways and South Western Railways have announced the approval of the Running of Train No, 07357/07358 Dharwad-Belagavi-Dharwad Unreserved Express as Train on Demand. The train has Rake Sharing with Dharwad Mysuru Dharwad Overnight Express and both trains will be connected at Dharwad.
This development allows travelers to reach Mysore directly from Belagavi without changing trains.

New Belagavi Mysuru Train Explanation
The train’s timings have been synced and matched to allow seamless travel for passengers. After reaching Dharwad from Mysuru, the train converts into an Unreserved Express and runs to Belagavi. Likewise, after reaching Dharwad from Belagavi, this Unreserved Express will become the Dharwad Mysuru Overnight Express till Mysuru Junction.
New Belagavi Mysuru Jn Train Brief History
The announcement of this train is a result of extensive demand for an exclusive train from Belagavi to Mysuru. The demand for a train to Mysuru started with asking for an extension of the Dharwad Mysuru Express till Belagavi in 2019. However, due to strong opposition from the people of Dharwad and the stepmotherly treatment with Belagavi, along with fierce political lobbying and pressure, the extension of the train was not possible.
Late Shri Suresh Angadi (MoSR) and MP of Mysuru Shri Pratap Simha also tried for a train between Belagavi and Mysuru. However, due to many hurdles, the said extension was not approved. Instead, Belagavi got the slow-running Vishwamanav Express between the two cities.
But now, with the coaching depot ready at the New Belagavi Railway station, Indian Railways, and South Western Railways have decided to run an Unreserved Special between Belagavi and Dharwad, later connecting to Mysuru. This move has been welcomed by many.
New Belagavi Mysuru Junction Train Coach Composition
The train will have a composition of 22 ICF Coaches, in which AC coaches will be in a locked condition between Belagavi and Dharwad, and vice versa. The coach composition is as follows: 1st AC – 1, 2 Tier AC – 1, 3 Tier AC – 2, Sleeper – 11, 5 General Class, and Two SLR. The primary maintenance of this train will be at Belagavi CDO with a Round Trip Brake Power Certificate (RPBC).
New Belagavi Mysuru Jn Train Timetable
The train will run on a daily basis from the 06th of March 2023 till the 06th of September 2023. The train will have stoppages at Khanapur, Londa Junction, and Alnavar Junction.
The timings for the train are as follows: 07357 Dharwad Departure 08:15 AM Belagavi Arrival 10:45 AM. 07358 Belagavi Departure 07:30 PM Dharwad Arrival 9:55 PM.
