Morena Plane Crash, IAF Wing Commander from Belagavi Succumbs to his injuries
In a tragic incident earlier today, two Indian Air Force planes Sukhoi MK1 & Mirage 2000 from the Gwalior Airbase collided near Morena in Madhya Pradesh. Sadly, one of the pilots, Wing Commander Hanumanth Sarathy, lost his life in the crash, the Pilot suffered fatal injuries from the Morena Plane crash.
Wing Commander Hanumanth Sarathy, who was flying the Mirage 2000, was a highly experienced pilot with many successful missions under his belt. He hailed from Ganeshpur, Belagavi in the southern state of Karnataka, and was known for his dedication to the Indian Air Force and his love of flying. As per tweets He studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 of Belgaum and was a keen friend of Many.
The military has been a tradition in Hanumanth Rao’s family for generations. His brother Ravi is an Air Force pilot, while his father Revansiddpa Sarathi retired from the army as a captain.
The Indian Air Force has expressed its deep condolences to the family of Wing Commander Hanumanth Sarathy and has promised to provide all necessary support to them during this difficult time.
The cause of the Morena Plane crash is currently under investigation as ordered by the Indian Airforce, the aircrafts were performing regular sorties and were on routine operational flying training missions.
but it is clear that Wing Commander Hanumanth Sarathy will be remembered as a true hero and a true patriot who gave his life while serving his country.
The Indian Airforce is mourning the loss of one of its finest pilots and sending condolences to his family and stands strongly with the bereaved family. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.
Defense sources reported that IAF chief Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari briefed Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on the two aircraft’s crash. They claimed that the defense minister is paying close attention to the developments.
