MG Hiremath takes over New Regional Commissioner for District
MG Hiremath has been transferred as Regional commissioner of Belagavi.
He will take charge on Monday.
Hiremath, who is the Managing Director of KRID in Bangalore, has previously worked as the District Collector of Belagavi. He originally hailed from Ganikoppa, Bailahongala, Belagavi.
Sadhya Mohanraj is currently and additionally handling the post of Belagavi Regional Commissioner.
“Belagavi is a significant and delicate district. However, the task will be simple for me because I’m from the Belagavi district, according to the new RC MG Hiremath.
Mahantesh G. Hiremath, the new RC, is a resident of the Gonikoppa village in the district’s Bailhongal taluk.
He holds an MSc in Physics from the University of Karnataka and has previously taught physics in Belgaum and Hubli.
After completing the Karnataka Public Post Commission exam in 1991, he began his career as an Assistant Commissioner in the Commercial Tax Department before being elevated to the service under the Indian Administrative Service.
He served as the Hubli-Dharwad BRTS Company Limited’s Managing Director, the District Commissioner for the Gadag district from August 2018 to the present, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Bagalkot District Panchayat.
