GR Infraprojects Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐5) and Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐6) Highways Embark on Transformative Journey in National Highway Development
In a significant development for India’s infrastructure landscape, GR Infraprojects, through its subsidiaries GR Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐5) Highway and GR Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐6) Highway, has inked concession agreements with the National Highways Authority of India. These agreements mark the commencement of highway projects collectively valued at Rs 1,457 crore, as detailed in a recent regulatory filing.
Empowering Infrastructure Growth
Under the terms of these pivotal agreements, GR Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐5) Highway and GR Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐6) Highway are entrusted with the responsibility of executing crucial construction activities along the Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur section of National Highway (NH) 748A. The estimated project costs are set at Rs 716.5 crore and Rs 740.8 crore, respectively, highlighting the scale and significance of these ventures.
Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM): A Sustainable Approach
Both of these projects will operate under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), a progressive financial model that combines fixed payments over a specified period with variable contributions. This approach not only promotes financial sustainability but also aligns with the nation’s infrastructure development goals.
A Race Against Time
With a completion period of 730 days, GR Infraprojects is committed to delivering these projects efficiently and in a timely manner. These highways are poised to enhance connectivity and reduce travel time significantly, benefiting both commuters and the regions they traverse.
Driving Growth for 15 Years
Beyond construction, GR Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐5) Highway and GR Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur (Package‐6) Highway will also oversee the operation of these highways for a substantial 15-year period. This long-term commitment underscores GR Infraprojects’ dedication to fostering sustainable and well-maintained transportation infrastructure.
