Star Air’s Embraer 145LR flight connects Bengaluru Belagavi Jaipur
Star Air, the regional airline, has commenced its new flight service connecting Belagavi and Jaipur with its Embraer 145LR aircraft. The flight, numbered S5-169, arrived from Bengaluru as S5-105 serving the Belagavi-Bengaluru sector, before proceeding to Jaipur. The Bengaluru Belagavi Jaipur flight is seen as a significant development as it connects the second capital of Karnataka with the capital of Rajasthan, providing a direct link between the two states.
The inaugural flight, S5-169, arrived from Bengaluru as S5-105 serving the IXG-BLR sector before departing for Jaipur with a full capacity of 50 passengers.
The new Bengaluru Belagavi Jaipur flight service is expected to be a boon for the large community of Marwaris and Rajasthanis stationed in Belagavi and North Karnataka. Previously, travelers had to take connecting flights or travel by road or rail to reach Jaipur, which made travel time-consuming and tiring. With the new flight service’s introduction, travelers can fly directly to Jaipur from Belagavi, saving time and effort.
The new Bengaluru Belagavi Jaipur flight service connecting Belagavi with Jaipur is expected to be a boon for the people of North Karnataka, especially those who have roots in Rajasthan. With a significant number of Marwari and Rajasthani communities residing in Belagavi and nearby regions, this flight will provide a direct and convenient connection to the state capital of Rajasthan. It is also expected to boost tourism and business travel between the two states, thereby improving the overall economic growth of the region.
The new direct Bengaluru Belagavi Jaipur flight service is a welcome move for the large community of Marwaris and Rajasthanis stationed in Belagavi and North Karnataka. The Bengaluru-Belagavi morning flight is also a positive development as it provides a direct link between the two state capitals.
The arrival of Star Air’s flight was accorded with a customary water cannon salute by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) staff. Several key officials, attended the event. S. Thiyagarajan, Airport Director: Belagavi Airport, Sh. Shashikant Yakkarnall: Sales Regional Manager (South), M/s. Star Air (Ghodawat Group), Sh. Moshin Khoja: CMD Pace Tourism, Sh. Ameerkhan Pathan: Operations Head (Pace Tours), Smt. Kirti Neriekar: Mayur World Travels (proprietor).
The event began with a ribbon-cutting and lighting of a sacred candle (diya), followed by a cake-cutting ceremony by the Airport Director. Sh. S Thiyagarajan expressed his gratitude to Star Air for launching the RCS route operation from Belagavi Airport to Jaipur Airport and requested the airline to add more sectors from Belagavi Airport as soon as possible. The first boarding pass was handed over to the inaugural flight’s first passenger.

Several other key officials were also present, including Smt. V Budhapurnima: CNS Incharge, Sh. P.S. Desai: DGM (CNS), Sh. Vinod Arya: ATM Incharge, Sh. A BalaKrishnan: Civil Incharge & Sh. Ragala Sudhesh: Terminal Incharge of AAI, Sh. Babu Chaugula: Assistant Commandant/CASO-KSISF & Sh. Avinash, APSU-KSISF, and other station managers of different airlines and stakeholders.
Speaking about the new flight service, Simran Singh Tiwana, CEO of Star Air, said, “We are delighted to introduce this new flight service connecting Belagavi with Jaipur, and we are confident that it will be well-received by travelers. Our aim is to provide convenient, comfortable, and affordable air travel to our passengers, and we believe that this new flight service will help us achieve that goal.”
He further added, “We are committed to serving the aviation sector in Karnataka and India, and we will continue to explore new destinations and routes to provide seamless connectivity to our passengers.”
The Star Air flight (S5-169/S5-170) will operate three days a week, i.e., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from Belagavi to Jaipur, with a departure time of 1255 IST and an arrival time of 1755 IST. The outgoing passenger count from Belagavi Airport is 47, and the incoming passenger count from Jaipur is 50 + 3 infants out of the 50-seater Embraer-145 aircraft.
The new direct Bengaluru Belagavi Jaipur flight service is expected to provide better connectivity and convenience for passengers traveling between Belagavi and Jaipur. It is also expected to boost tourism and trade between the two states. With the launch of this service, Star Air continues to expand its network, providing affordable air travel options to passengers across the country.
