Belagavi Rain Alert: Residents Urged to Take Precautions as Heavy Rains Loom

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a series of alerts (Belagavi Rain Alert) for Belagavi, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, and Bagalkote, along with neighboring regions in North Karnataka and Southern Maharashtra. The forecast indicates heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming days, raising concerns about potential flooding and waterlogging in the affected areas.

The IMD has classified the alerts into different levels of severity. From Wednesday to Friday, a yellow alert (Belagavi Rain Alert) has been issued for Belagavi, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, and Bagalkote. Short breaks in precipitation are possible, but the majority of the affected areas can expect significant rainfall.
