Belagavi Industries: Belagavi, a bustling city in the Indian state of Karnataka, has been eagerly waiting for the promised industrial corridor and manufacturing facility to become a reality. However, recent revelations have revealed that the promised development may never come to fruition, leaving the citizens of Belagavi in the lurch.
According to sources, a delegation from the Belagavi Chambers of Commerce and Industries members, along with MP Iranna Kadadi and MLA Abhay Patil, had met with the Chief Minister on 24th November to request the establishment of an industrial corridor and manufacturing facility in the city. During the meeting, the Chief Minister had reportedly assured the delegation that a 500-acre foundry and hydraulics industrial estate would be set up in Belagavi, along with one automobile industry.
However, an RTI inquiry was revealed from the Directorate of Industries and commerce. the government had not taken any action on the matter submitted by the delegation. The RTI response stated that the meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, state Secretaries might have attended the meeting, Official no invitation was given to the Belagavi chamber of commerce as such no proceedings after the meeting were prepared neither expenses of the meeting were available at this office.
The news of the failed promises has left the citizens of Belagavi disheartened. For years, they have been hoping for a much-needed economic boost in the form of industrial development (Belagavi Industries). Belagavi, despite being strategically located and rich in natural resources, has been neglected for far too long, and this latest news is just another example of the city’s unfortunate fate.
