In order to prevent any untoward incidents, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation and North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation also stopped running buses to Maharashtra.

Following a recommendation from the state police and the ongoing Belagavi Border Dispute, the Maharashtra State Transport Corporation (MSRTC) decided to suspend its bus services to Karnataka on Tuesday amid escalating tension between the two states over the border dispute. The bus services have been discontinued, according to Shekhar Channe, vice chairman and managing director of MSRTC.
In order to prevent any unforeseen incidents, the Karnataka state bus corporation likewise stopped running buses to Maharashtra.
According to an MSRTC representative, the decision to halt bus service was made in light of the police’s recommendation. For the safety of travelers heading to Karnataka and to prevent any form of untoward occurrence and property damage, it has been done as a precaution.

The official continued, “The suspension of services is temporary and will be reinstated as soon as the situation is brought under control. Last month, both corporations ceased their bus services.
Following the escalation of the conflict between Maharashtra and Karnataka on the Belagavi Border Dispute. However, a few days ago, the services were restarted.
In Karnataka’s Hirebaugwadi, close to Belagavi, on Tuesday, stone throwers targeted six vehicles with Maharashtra license plates. Additionally, many automobiles were prohibited from traveling to Karnataka. Buses from Karnataka were then vandalized in Pune.
