Belagavi Airport Summer Schedule | Additional Sectors By Star Air and Indigo along with Return of Spicejet*
Belagavi Airport Summer Schedule: Belagavi Airport in Karnataka, India, is set to welcome back SpiceJet as it prepares for its domestic summer schedule for 2023. The airline, along with IndiGo and Star Air, has had its domestic summer schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and is set to operate 11 routes from Belagavi airport.

Star Air, one of the three airlines with an approved (Belagavi airport summer schedule), has introduced a new tri-weekly Belagavi-Jaipur flight and a daily Belagavi-Bengaluru flight. The airline has also increased the frequency of its flights to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Tirupati to daily, while the Belagavi-Jodhpur sector will now be serviced four times a week. Furthermore, Star Air will operate flights to Nagpur, Indore, and Surat from Belagavi three days a week.

Meanwhile, IndiGo will operate two flights to Bengaluru and one flight to Hyderabad. The approved schedule is effective from March 26 until October 28, 2023.
However, the absence of SpiceJet in the previous month of December caused significant inconvenience to passengers traveling to Delhi, and this resulted in poor flight loads at Belagavi Airport. It was speculated that SpiceJet would return to the airport in February, but the airline has now decided to return in April with its daily Belagavi-Delhi flight, serviced by its 189-seater Boeing 737-800*.
Although SpiceJet had previously submitted a letter of termination of operations from Belagavi Airport, the airline’s decision to return is a positive development for passengers traveling to and from Belagavi. The renewed operations by SpiceJet will provide passengers with more options for their travel needs and will also boost the airport’s economy.

The airport’s efforts have already yielded results, with increased passenger traffic in recent years.
