
Tallest Modi Jacket by Belagavi Based Tailor presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Tallest Modi Jacket: A huge Modi-style jacket measuring 30 by 60 feet and two smaller jackets measuring 1 by 2 inches were sewn in Belagavi by tailor Sachin Shrikant Kakade, age 48, and 15 other workers. It is a world record, he said.
He stated that the two mini-jackets would shortly be given to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as souvenirs. Anup Jawalkar, an architect, offered the measurements and plans, that Kakade, a supporter of Modi, used to sew the enormous jacket. Using a crane, he raised the jacket to greet Modi as he arrived in Hubballi on Thursday.

Kakade told the media that the tallest Modi jacket cost him Rs. 1.25 lakh to make. To finish his project, he had to rent a wedding venue in Belagavi for 15 days. To stitch the gown, he engaged 15 talented craftsmen who slept out at the wedding venue for 15 days.
Kakade said that the required 250 meters of fabric were donated by John and Brown Suiting Company. For Hubballi, he had to build a structure that weighed almost 1,200 kg to exhibit the enormous garment. He paid Rs. 75,000 to hire the crane from Dharwad. While tailors typically finish five regular coats a day, Kakade claimed it took him two days to create the small jackets. He remarked that the three pockets, buttons, and other finer elements on the 1×2 inch jackets.
