BS Gavimath retired Senior Literati was felicitated with Kuvempu Award
BS Gavimath receives state-level award: During the Kuvempu darshan and presentation event, famous national scholar Dr. Hampana presented Prof. B.S. Gavimath with the state-level Kuvempu award. The Kannada Janashakti Kendra was presided over by President CK Ramegowda.
While receiving the Kuvempu award B.S. Gavimath said, “Karnataka is politically integrated but not emotionally. Capital (South Canara/Karnataka) people are not recognizing the talents of North Karnataka. The people of North Karnataka have fought and sacrificed for the integration of Karnataka. The entire Karnataka should fight unitedly for the sake of Belagavi.”
Who is BS Gavimath?
Professor B.S. Gavimath, well-known district literati and former director of KLE Prasaranga. Professor BS Gavimath, a 75-year-old resident of Belagavi City, has made the younger generation feel guilty by giving selflessly to numerous causes. His literary contribution is excellent. He has authored or edited more than 50 pieces of literature. As the head of KLE Prasaranga, he worked very hard to get hundreds of the KLE Society’s publications published. Sahitya Bhushan is how his supporters have referred to him. He is still employed as the Honorary Editor of KLE Varta Patra.
