Balu Forge Sets up a new facility in Belagavi
In Kakti Industrial Area Belagavi, Balu Forge Industries (BFIL) is in the process of constructing a new manufacturing facility measuring 52,000 square meters. A cutting-edge precision engineering center will be housed in this new building, increasing production efficiency and allowing an expansion of the current product line to improve the company’s offering in both the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and the new energy sectors.
The new manufacturing campus will house a number of important production facilities, including a precision machining and forging center, a defense production facility, a unit specifically dedicated to the production of railroad wheels and axles, and a facility with a focus on the components for the emerging energy and mobility industries. This will allow Balu Forge IL to reach new industries and diversify its product line.
The defense industrial facility will concentrate on producing heavy forging components and undercarriage parts for the worldwide defense industry. The production facility for rail wheels, axles, and wheelsets will meet the rising domestic and international demand for railway systems and solutions. BFIL will be able to increase its presence in the new energy industry thanks to the new energy components unit. In order to further diversify and balance the total product mix, the company will concentrate on developing critical expertise in fuel-agnostic systems and components.
Balu Forge began operations at the recently purchased forging factory and laid the groundwork for a new 25-acre factory to be built in the Kakati Industrial Area.

The company has been providing OEM businesses for the past ten years, and its aftermarket presence has subsequently grown to over 80 nations. The first business in India to mass-produce crankshafts appropriate for use in tractors, trucks, and passenger cars was Balu India. Balu now has a stellar reputation on the global market after 20 years. Balu’s modern period maintains the company’s reputation for durability by producing Crankshafts entirely from forgings.
