MP Mangal Suresh Angadi met with Ashwini Vaishnav to demand Vande Bharat Express between Belagavi and Bengaluru.

MP Loksabha Smt. Mangal Suresh Angadi Meet Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways Mr. Ashwini Vaishnav and requested to start Semi High Speed ​​”Vande Bharat Express” train service between Belgaum – Bangalore in the next few days.

She said, “Belgaum district is the fastest-growing city in the state and is making excellent progress in industry, education, and various fields. There is a need for Vande Bharat train to Belagavi, the second capital of the state, and Bangalore, and I request Union Minister to consider my request at the earliest.”

The request of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s laying of the foundation stone for the Belagavi-Kittur-Dharwad route and the opening of the New Belgaum railway station were both mentioned on the same occasion. The Honorable Minister enthusiastically responded by stating that he will speak with Shri Narendra Modiji shortly. And he added that he would take into consideration the “Vande Bharat Express” train request.

About Vande Bharat Express: 

The Vande Bharat Express, previously known as Train 18, is a semi-high-speed, electric multiple-unit train operated by the Indian Railways on 4 routes as of October 2022.

Under the Make in India program, it was created by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Perambur, Chennai. The first train took 18 months to build. The first set of second-generation trains was anticipated to cost ₹115 crores (US$14 million), whereas the cost per unit for the first train was estimated to be ₹100 crores (equivalent to ₹114 crores in 2020). After the train’s introduction on February 15th, 2019, it was anticipated that a second unit would have been manufactured and prepared for use. On January 27, 2019, the service was renamed “Vande Bharat Express.”
