MP Mangala S Angadi inspects New Belagavi Railway Station's upgrading works.

By the end of September, Belagavi City’s New Railway Station should have undergone all necessary upgrades. Be careful not to annoy passengers because of construction work, the MP Mangala Angadi said.

She stated the work should be finished in the allotted period during a meeting of South Western Railway officials on Monday after examining the development activities at various stages of the city’s train station. According to her, there shouldn’t be any delays for any cause.

The construction of a G+3 storey building, the installation of an elevator, a parking system, platforms 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as improvement projects, coaching depot-pitline (CDO) construction, and entrance through the second gate to be made at the railway station through the main entrance, should all be done with quality in mind. She recommended accelerating the slow-moving projects that have been ongoing for years and finding a long-term fix for the minor issues.

“It is important to keep an eye on cleanliness inside and outside train coaches. Passengers waiting for the train at the station should be approached and their problems should be heard. At the railway station, 90% of the work has been finished. By the end of this month, the unfinished work should be completed, she said.”

There were top railway officials from the Rail Development Corporation as well as Additional Divisional Railway Manager Shri Verma of the South Western Railway and Additional General Manager Shri Arun Kumar.
